You’re in the right place

Meeting with a therapist for the first time can be anxiety provoking! It takes a lot of courage to allow yourself to be vulnerable with a stranger and I commend you in taking this important first step.

My therapeutic approach is centered around respect, empathy, and kindness. You can expect to feel safe, accepted, and empowered at every session.

I truly believe that YOU are the expert in your own life. As your therapist, I am here to support you in your personal growth journey.

Insurance at Bloom Counseling & Consultation

The good, the bad, and the ugly….

I accept several different insurance plans for both Tennessee and Washington based clients to include Optum, United, Oscar, Oxford, Aetna, and Cigna. I do not currently accept any Medicare or Medicaid plans.

If you are not covered under one of these plans, ask about your ‘out of network’ benefits as insurance companies will often provide re-imbursement for these services.

Clients should be aware that by contracting with insurance it limits some of the freedoms associated with the services I provide. For this reason, there are several benefits to private pay. Some of these benefits include: Greater freedom in treatment frequency, number of sessions allowed, and treatment modalities used. Extended privacy, as insurance companies frequently request information about therapy sessions to justify payment. The ability to provide treatment without a mental health diagnosis in your medical file. Without a diagnosis, we can discuss a wider range of topics in sessions that are often not covered by insurance providers.
